Hey Wake Forest and happy weekend! My name is Avery Finch, and I’m a Wake Forest sophomore and writer for the Old Gold & Black. On Fridays, I’ll be taking over the OGB newsletter to help students discover fun things to do in and around Winston- Salem. Without further ado, here’s your eighth Weekend in Winston guide, courtesy of me and my Google expertise:
Friday
Happy Friday Wake Forest! It's the last Friday before we break for Thanksgiving, so go explore Winston!
Comedian and podcaster Theo Von will be at the LJVM Coliseum this Friday.

Noise Pollution: The AC/DC Experience
The Ramkat will be hosting Noise Pollution, an AC/DC cover band based in San Diego.

The Steven Tanger Center in Greensboro will be having its Gate City Blues Festival with artists Calvin Richardson, King George, Pokey Bear & Tucka.

This block party in the Arts District on Trade Street will feature booths of new community artists, live performers and creative leaders within the community. Go rack up that dorm decor!

It’s game day! Wake Forest takes on Sam Hartman at Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m., so tune in and then check out these events.
Reynolda Village Annual Holiday Stroll
Reynolda Village will have carolers, free carriage rides, Santa and Christmas decorations for their Holiday Stroll this weekend.
When: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
It's finally here! The Festival of Lights is open for the holiday season. Drive through the light show ($20) or hire a horse drawn carriage to take you and two friends for $90. They also offer s’mores, a gift village and hay rides.

Tree of Forgiveness Band: A John Prine Tribute
The Ramkat will be hosting the cover band The Tree of Forgiveness to bring John Prine’s music back to life.

Footnote Coffee & Cocktails will be having Firefly Market, an open air market offering local artists and makers showcasing vintage, handmade and repurposed items.

The Ramkat will be having Wizardfest with themed drinks, a costume contest, wizard games and a live DJ.

Piedmont Craftsmen’s 60th Anniversary Fair
The Piedmont Craftsmen’s 60th Anniversary Craft Fair showcases artisans working in wood, clay, fibers, glass, metal, jewelry, photography, printmaking and mixed media.

If you didn't go to Theo Von or if you can't get enough comedy, Idiot Box Comedy Club will be having its Sunday Funnies event.
