Weekend in Winston: Scary movies, Renaissance Fair & Cobblestone Farmers Market Fall Festival
Old Gold & Black writer Avery Finch has your weekend plans figured out for you.
Hey Wake Forest and happy weekend, my name is Avery Finch, a Wake Forest sophomore and writer for the Old Gold & Black. On Fridays, I’ll be taking over the OGB newsletter to help students discover fun things to do in and around Winston- Salem. Without further ado, here’s your fourth Weekend in Winston guide, courtesy of me and my Google expertise:
Friday
The 13th falls on a Friday in October? Could there be a more perfect time for haunted houses, scary movies and ghost tours? I think not.
Haunted houses & ghost tours:
Scary movies:

Where? Ivey M Redmon Sports Complex at 788 Beeson Rd

The movie will be shown on a blow-up screen on a large lawn so make sure to bring chairs, inflatable couches or blankets. They will also offer snacks like caramel apples, cider, hot chocolate, pizza, hot dogs, Mexican food and some alcoholic beverages.
Horror Movie Freaks Film Festival
